There are 2.000 drinking water quality, lakes in beautiful Carinthia, Austria’s most southern province, offering an all-year-round excitement. Lake Millstatt
Just around the corner, is the second largest lake in Carinthia, 14 kilometres away from Hotel Ronacher, the very popular Lake Millstadt. Lake Brennsee
Another stunning, smaller lake of the Region Bad Kleinkirchheim where various water sports are offered in cooperation with the Krainer sports school, such as Sailing, Surfing, Stand up Paddling. Lot of fun is guaranteed!
Tip: A sign posted bike trail takes you from Bad Kleinkirchheim to Lake Brennsee. (Altitude) and a very conveniently bike shuttle brings you back to Bad Kleinkirchheim.
Lake Wörthersee
Surrounded by a fantastic Alpine panorama, with access to loads of water sports Lake Wörthersee is Austria’s most well-loved summer destinations. There is a lot going on. The Ironman, Open Air Concerts, Classic Music Festival, Beach Volleyball Grand Slam, Carinthia Run (Half Marathon) and a lot more.
Pyramidenkogel the world highest wooden viewing tower offers impressive wide-ranging, panoramic view over the lakes, Julian Alps and towards Italy and Slovenia and of course the Nockberg mountain region.
Lake Weissesee
The spectacular emerald green, clean bathing lake, with 945 m, the highest in Austria is an unspoilt conversation area of with stunning bike and walking trail around the lake.
Every winter, when the lake is frozen, ice skating is the absolute highlight. It lures everyone with its magnificent natural ice. An absolutely inspiring and uplifting experience!
