The cosy bar at the Ronacher is a central meeting place at the hotel. It is divided into a smoking and non-smoking area and the chic green ceiling lights in the "smoker's lounge" act as an extractor fan at the same time: keeping the air fresh in the smoking area.
After an award-winning gourmet dinner, an event awaits you in the bar: live music, a fashion show or perhaps an art exhibition. There is something on offer here for every taste with stylish dance music, mesmerising light music or classical piano evenings.

Fine drops of wine from Austria
We very specifically endeavour to provide quality wines from Austria. We offer the best wine estates and vintages in the Ronacher wine cellar from several Austrian wine-growing areas.

Speciality beers: craft beers and stouts
Besides classic types of beer like lager, pils and various wheat beers you can also find craft beers and stouts on our beer menu.
What is a craft beer or stout?
Put simply, a craft beer is a craft-brewed beer. However, this definition is too simple and leaves much scope for interpretation. The term comes from America and mainly means beer brewed at small breweries. If you compare this with our situation in Austria, they are very big breweries.
We use the term for the aspiring speciality beer scene. And with this we mean beers that are produced in a traditional way but offer a totally new taste sensation.
PA (pale ale) or IPA (India pale ale) are very hoppy and often fruity beer styles that originate from England.
Porter & stout are dark beers from Great Britain which have a very strong, spicy taste (dark chocolate and coffee flavours). They have nothing to do with the sweet dark beers that are common to Austria.
Trappist beers are monastery beers produced according to a Belgium brewing tradition that is more than 1,000 years old. The higher alcohol content gives the beer a variety of flavours. This beer is also served in a special beer glass by us (similar to a red wine glass).
You can find a selection of international and Austrian beers that we have tasted and selected for you on our beer menu.
Current speciality beers at Hotel Ronacher
Affligem Blonde (6.8%)
Six monks founded the Affligem Abbey in the heart of Belgium in 1074. Affligem Blonde is therefore one of the oldest of just 22 abbey beers in the world. The beer is a bright golden yellow speciality with an aroma of fresh bread, citrus fruits and a touch of vanilla. The flavour has fine hints of marzipan and almonds with a slightly bitter finish.
Trappistes Rochefort (11.3%)
Rochefort with its rich fruit and caramel aromas is served in two courses. First of all nine tenths of the bottle is poured out and a clear Rochefort is savoured. In the second course the just as tasty last tenth is drunk with the vitamin-packed trub. Belgium.
Quadrupel – La Trappe (10%)
Brewed by the Onze Lieve Vrouw van Koningshoeven Trappist monastery near Tilburg in the Netherlands. The strongest La Trappe beer, slight sweetness, fine bitters, a hint of toffee.
Affligem Double (6.8%)
Affligem Double has an elegant reddish brown shimmer with a smell of aniseed, sultanas, bananas and cloves. Lightly carbonated and full-bodied with a slight caramel flavour. What's really special – the second fermentation phase in the bottle. Belgium.
Dunkle Materie (6.6%)
Hoppy flavour with dark malty notes, dark chocolate, apricots and coffee. Brewed by Brew Age, Lower Austria.
Schleppe No. 1 PA (5.3%)
Wonderfully orange shimmer with fine-pored thick head. Brewed at the Schleppe brewery in Klagenfurt. The exotic aroma is reminiscent of passion fruit and rhubarb. Strong hop taste, dry and resiny but fruity.

Dark amber, wonderful malty character, caramel, roasted coffee aromas, slightly fruity body, Loncium brewery, Mauthen in Carinthia.
